Going for a new stage

All members of IKTT took days off during the Bon festival vacation which started today. As always, we sent out distant groups from Takeo Province or Kampot Province, who always went home a little earlier, and the groups from local areas or surrounding areas like Battambang Province were also going to their countryside in these days.

We prepared money to pay salaries of all IKTT members with Rina who is a financial manager, the money were prepared not only from savings at bank but also even from my pocket. However, yesterday it was like a battlefield. Some of them insisted on getting 20 dollars more because they needed to go home at Battambang Province with their family. We finally finished such final offence and defense battle. There were few cars and motorcycles coming and going in this morning, and the town is having a quiet morning. In the silence I recall the chain of events of the other days.

We started to build the infrastructure such as accommodations and electricity and water for the groups relocating to the Project site of Wisdom from the Forest (PWF). We sent them out from Siem Reap and supported to relocate. The small general store was opened in the village of forest. It is a kind of convenience store in the village. We wanted to keep a minimum convenient life for everyone living in the village of the forest. And we prepared for the Silkworm festival. At the last minute before the festival, the silkworms were dead in huge numbers because of humidity. We were preoccupied with responses to the incident shouting "There are no silkworms in the Silkworms Festival". And the festival at least successfully ended. After that time, I traveled peddling at the East West Center of Honolulu. Now I am just relaxed after finishing such series of events.

There were various new meetings at the East West Center of Honolulu. I always think that it is always fun for me to meet with new people, during peddling around.
When I came back to Siem Reap, I got a mail that gave me expectation for something new wave. From the mail, I expect the small exhibition might be held next year at the university near from New York in the east area of America. Such move is coming out. And the member of IKTT in Germany is also moving for preparing to the exhibition next year.

I got a nice news from Paris, while we were spending such busy days few days ago. I traveled peddling to Hanover in Germany and Paris in May this year. At Paris, I was interviewed from Figalo and Marie Claire and others. It is the news that the interview appeared on the October issue of "Marie Claire maison".
The cameraman who was probably a fashion cameraman of Marie Claire took photographs of me by asking to make a pose lightly. The photo appears on the page. What made me glad above all is the title of the article, "LE MAITRE DE LA SOIE" that is THE MASTER OF SILK in English.
It was extremely honored for me to receive such title from the people in Paris who know the continuous pride of the people in Lyon which is the birthplace of modern silkworm raising. Now I have reached the point, after 25 years since I started to have relation with the yellow silk.
