The Seasonal wind
When I stay in the forest, I can feel the seasonal wind in the nature. During the monsoon season, the wind came from the south at first, but it changed to the north after the last squall rain passed away few days ago.
When travelers in the old days sailed from the capital of Angkor, they waited for the seasonal wind changed to be followed. If they miss this seasonal wind, they had to wait for another year. They must have traveled sailing in this way.
The famous record produced by Chinese government emissary to Angkor Vat was also such an experimental visitor's records that during the period from the time he arrived at Angkor Vat and stayed there waiting until the next change of the seasonal wind occurred.
Nowadays we can travel to Japan in several hours, but in the old days people had to travel by catching such seasonal wind. I can feel such changes of the natural season, when the wind is blowing down from the mountain Kulen in the north.
