My memory in hand

My memory in hand I did the Yuzen Dyeing drawing on the clothes after a long time that could be said my memory in hand of Kyoto days.
My main work at those days was drawing the Yuzen Dyeing design on Kimono. When I encountered such a good quality clothes, I instinctively want to draw the Yuzen Dyeing on it. Now we are able to make such a good quality and really handmade clothes at IKTT.

I sometimes really come to feel to draw myself, when working with the IKTT experienced weavers. Such feeling occurred once a year, so there are only a few clothes I made in a year. That is because I am usually busy to check the IKTT worker's job.

I have always decided my favorite design. It is branches of trees. I do not know why, but I like this design. I draw this design again and again without getting bored, and also the new version of this designs are coming up to my mind.

Recently I sew the similar designs on the mural of Bayon temple. They might be a life of trees. Some branches and leaves are getting twisted and growing up to the sky. I think the mural might be living figures of all IKTT member's. Each leaf could be each experienced weaver and trainee, sometimes they are getting twisted and swinging together, and growing up to the sky.

The clothes that I have made were all sold out at IKTT shop, so I do not have any clothes at hand. But recently I have made five clothes in these several weeks after a long time in between busy days. They include two of 2.5 meters length big sized clothes. Actually they will be shown as a dress at the fashion show of the eve of the silkworm festival in this September.

I want to hand on my Yuzen Dyeing skills to IKTT several members who attended at the Drawing Team. It has passed several years since they started drawing. They already obtained the qualities. It is my heartfelt pleasure if I can hand on my technique to young generation in Cambodia, of which I learned from my godlike skilled master in Kyoto traditional dyeing world.

Some of them know about the procedure already through supporting my Yuzen Dyeing works so far. About designs, they should choose their favorite designs by themselves, if they can complete the works by this ways, it means they complete of natural dyeing works. The Yuzen dyeing world that is only using natural dyes and not using any chemical dyes had already disappeared in India and Indonesia.
