New Year
The Cambodian New Year is coming. The New Year holidays are from 14th to 16th April.
We finished this yearend payment of salary before New Year's Day is coming same as every year. I always try to pay them before New Year is coming as much as I can, although it is always a little delay in normal month. But this yearend payment became more difficult because of unusual decrease of sales, especially for the people coming from distant Takeo province and Kampot province.
The New Year's Angels are flying down at 13th midnight, exactly at 1:36 am on 14th. The entrances of every house are decorated by New Year's beautiful electric lights, fruits and flowers for inviting the angels.
Also at the Project site of "Wisdom from the Forest" (PWF), usual lights-off is at 9:30 pm, but the elderly women requested to keep the lights on until the angels are coming.
The project of PWF becomes 8 years counting from 2002. In every year, various angels were flying down and various events have happened. What kind of angels are coming in this year? It is fun.
I recently recognized that a lot of kids are with their mother working side. But there are little or no cry heard from over 10 kids including the age of one. Normally the kids are crying, when they are hungry or do wee-wee, or feel something bad feeling. But in case of the PWF kids, they do not cry because they can stay with their mothers at ease and relax.
The stress-free environments for the kids are also same for the mothers. And it is also the same for the running around lively elder children, and also the fathers working hard by their children.
The next year is year of the Ox. I am waiting the New Year's angels, wishing for all people's health and happy.
